The Jacki® Recovery Jacket Program
Top hospitals give the Jacki® free to Breast Cancer patients funded by grants and charitable donations. A Little Easier Recovery donates directly to hospitals to distribute at the discretion of nurses and surgeons. Since its inception, hundreds of Jacki® recovery jackets have been distributed free... we are aiming for thousands in 2007/2008!
What Hospitals Say:
The "Jacki" has been a true gift for my patients who have received one. They have told me what a difference it has made in the recovery from such a traumatic experience."
"Each and every patient who used this product found it to be a useful and comforting item when comfort is otherwise at a minimum. The long hours spent waiting in drafty rooms wearing only a thin hospital johnny can make patients feel even worse than they already do. It robs them of their dignity..."
"As the Nurse Coordinator at the center, I feel the Jacki needs to be a standard intervention in the care plan of patients undergoing surgery for breast cancer."
What patients say:
"Thank you for making it possible for me to receive a "Jacki" jacket to wear after surgery for a double mastectomy I recently. The jacket was the only thing I was able to wear for the first 30 days post-op, & having it made dressing & draining SO MUCH EASIER. I don’t know what I would have done without it.
"The gift of this jacket was a loving hug. In the midst of a very disorganized and stressful crisis I was able to feel dignified, attractive and efficient. I did not feel vulnerable and immodest while I wore it, and I need to tell you how much that means to a woman when she is constantly having to be exposed over and over again to so many healthcare professionals. I was really happy with the nurses and doctors reaction to the Jacki, it made things extremely easy for them also."
